Social Work Services Assessment Coordinator

SAGE is a multi-service agency that has provided services to older people in Edmonton and area since 1970. The mission of the SAGE is to enhance the quality of life of older people in Edmonton and surrounding area.

This position is responsible for assessing client needs and short term one-to-one counseling to individuals addressing the social and emotional needs of older adults and their families. The position will focus on assisting seniors or their families, who make contact with SAGE, to articulate and prioritize there needs, deal with issues they are facing and to make informed referrals as necessary. As a professional social worker, the applicant will adhere to the Social Work Code of Ethics as published in the A.C.S.W., and be a member in good standing of the AARSW. This position will work with the Housing Coordinator, Seniors Social Worker, Safe House Coordinators, This Full House Coordinator and volunteers on the reception telephone lines.
