Trips and Outings:
*New* Snow Goose Chase 2017 - See the marvels of migration! Trip organized by the Edmonton Nature Club. Includes knowledgeable tour leaders, wildlife spotters, bird guide books, binoculars, school bus to and from and a hot luncheon. Must pre-register. Sage only has 20 spaces reserved. Note ground may be muddy or uneven. Sorry, no walkers or wheel chairs allowed on the bus.
Date: Saturday, April 22
Time: Sage pick-up is 8:15am (Sage will be open at 7:45am).
Senior Choir Fling - Back by popular demand! Every year senior’s choirs from across small town Alberta get together for a concert. We will do a driving-tour of Legal’s murals, lunch buffet at the Westlock Inn and end the day with the choir performance in Morinville. See small-town Alberta even if you don’t watch the choirs!
Date: Friday, May 5
Time: depart Sage at 9:00am
Cost: $47.00 includes buffet lunch and bus
Student Interviews - Help the elementary students attending City Hall School practice their interviewing skills. Interviews are only 15 minutes and it is a great chance to share your stories and meet some interesting children!
Dates: March 16 - Grade 4 from Baturyn / April 6 Grade 4 students from Elmwood
Time: 11:15 - 11:30am
Location: Sage Café
*New* Parole Course - Presented by Doug Heckbert, criminal justice expert. Take this course to learn facts, figures and realities of parole. You will see where parole fits into the criminal justice system, hear from a parole officer, learn how Parole Board members make their release decisions, hear from a parolee what it is like to be on parole and sign-up to attend a parole hearing. Class is 7 weeks. Must pre-register by April 25.
Date: Tuesdays, May 2-June 13
Cost: $38.00 members or returning Criminal Justice students, $45.00 non-members
Location: Classroom A (May 2nd is in Mezzanine)
