Are you looking for something worthwhile and fun to do in your retirement?
Habitat for Humanity has many different volunteer opportunities to suit your interests!
Volunteers have the flexibility of coming as often as they wish. Everyone is welcome from beginners to those who putter in their garages to tradespeople.
Habitat offers free tool training workshops and provides all equipment, tools and lunch as a way to say thank you and foster the social component of volunteerism. Our primary focus is safety in a fun and a welcoming environment. We set up our groups of volunteers to facilitate learning and productivity.
Volunteers can work on our build sites (construction, renovations, and landscaping), in our prefab shop, in our new and used building supply stores (called ReStore), and can help with special events. In 2015, Habitat worked with over 4,500 volunteers who donated nearly 15,000 hours!
