1.8 million people aged 60+ struggle with mental illness in Canada. This session will provide an opportunity for people who work with and care for seniors to talk about it.

Dr. Murgatroyd has written and published 43 books (including two bibliographies), three pamphlets, 60 chapters in edited works, 50 peer reviewed papers in academic journals, 45 contributions to journals and magazines (including reviews) and over sixty journalistic pieces in newspapers. He is a regular contributor to The Edmonton Journal and has hosted TV and radio programs.
His discussion will focus on resilience and building adaptive capacity in the face of challenge and change.
