Roger Laing has served as Executive Director of the Sage Seniors’ Association for the past nineteen years. Over the course of his tenure, Roger has made a tremendous contribution in leading Sage to the organization it is today. His achievements are numerous: innovative Sage programs and services have been designed and implemented to address individual needs and build on the strengths of the seniors we serve. We are proud of the strong team of staff and volunteers he has assembled and leads. Roger has been a strong collaborator with partners in senior serving agencies and the broader voluntary community. He has influenced seniors related policy at all three levels of government.
Roger has advised the Sage Board of Directors of his intention to retire later this year. Needless to say, his will be big shoes to fill.
The Board of Directors will be conducting a selection process to choose a new Executive Director. We welcome interest from potential candidates and have appointed a Selection Committee to oversee the selection process. Click here to see the Job Posting and Job Description.
We plan to conduct the selection process over the summer and announce a new Executive Director early this fall.
Sage is a vibrant organization due to Roger’s leadership over many years. We are sorry to see him go but look forward to the future with a new leader at the helm.
