Posted on March 6 2013

Sage is pleased to congratulate its Executive Director, Roger Laing, on being awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, a new medal to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The Hon. Alice Wong, Canada’s Minister of State for Seniors, nominated Roger for this honour due to his dedication and service to seniors in Canada.

Roger has been Sage’s Executive Director for 15 years, during which time many new programs have been established. He has served twice on the Board for the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council, and is currently Treasurer. Roger was also instrumental in establishing the Alberta Association of Seniors Centers, of which he is currently President.

Congratulations Roger, on this stunning achievement! The staff here at Sage are very proud!
