Join Sage's Board of Directors

Sage is an Edmonton-based non-profit organization established to enhance the quality of life of older persons through the work of staff and volunteers, and in collaboration with stakeholders. We are looking for individuals interested in serving on our board.

The Board supports the work of Sage and its ongoing commitment to understanding and improving the lives of seniors, as well as being an advocate for seniors’ issues in the community. Members are elected for two-year terms, with a maximum of six years in total service.

We're looking for individuals who understand the governance model of board leadership, and who can work in a spirit of collaboration with Sage’s Executive Director and partner organizations to provide mission-based leadership and strategic governance.

Candidates should have the following qualifications

• Extensive community experience with backgrounds in business, government, philanthropy, or the non-profit sector.
• Savvy diplomatic skills and a natural affinity for cultivating relationships and persuading, convening, facilitating, and building consensus among diverse individuals and communities.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and a passion for improving the lives of seniors and maximizing their contributions to the community.
